What can I expect in therapy?

Therapy with me will provide you a safe and comfortable space to explore yourself and embark upon a process of growth. You may be feeling down, anxious, unsure about the future, or that you're not living the life you imagined. Or you might be experiencing debilitating mental health symptoms. Whatever your reasons for seeking support, therapy can help provide you the tools to manage your emotions and your life  in a healthy and productive way. Whatever your needs may be, as a therapist, I'm here to offer support, guidance, exploration, and change. Therapy is a process of self-discovery and in my sessions I promote behavioral transformation by guiding you to access your own wisdom within. I have the tools and professional experience to help you get back on track, and to gain a deeper understanding and meaning in your life.

About therapy with me.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in mental health. Having worked in both psychiatric inpatient and intensive outpatient settings, as well as in individual, group, and family therapy modalities with adult clients, I bring an extensive set of tools and experiences to clients. In particular, I specialize in treating complex and co-occurring conditions,  mood disorders, trauma-based and anxiety disorders, psychosis, interpersonal, occupational problems, and more.

My approach is very client centered and integrative, including a combination of Schema Therapy, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic approaches. Schema Therapy is an integrative approach to mental health that brings together elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment and object relations theories, Gestalt and experiential therapies. It provides a deep understanding of how our past is impacting our present. CBT is designed to help us understand how thoughts, emotions and behaviors impact one another and how we can intervene to create meaningful changes. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a CBT-based modality, which is designed to bring joy, balance, and peace to what can often feel like a chaotic life. In therapy you will gain tools that help you access your own wisdom and create a meaningful and more stable life path.

As Clinical Director of Camden Center Los Angeles, I oversee and support an integrative healthcare team to ensure whole-person treatment that is individually tailored to meet each patient’s needs and goals. In my private practice, I strive to provide this type of holistic and tailored support plan to each individual with whom I work.
